During his nine-year tenure as Chief of Police for Salt Lake City, Chris was known for his progressive, community-centered approach to policing. His leadership extended beyond the city, influencing national conversations on reform and community engagement. Since retiring from policing, Chris advances efforts in police reform and social justice across the country through his influence as a law enforcement strategic advisor.

Chris’ extensive career is built on a foundation of service to the public. As he puts it, “I am a public servant, not a politician,” and he has focused on creating real, actionable changes.
